With my background in physical therapy and my own personal weight loss journey, I know I can help you not only imagine your goals, but keep you on track to achieve them. Along your journey, you will learn that it's not the destination that's important. It's the daily work, the dedication to your goals and building new habits that will give you the most joy.

My health journey started a few years ago, right during the middle of the pandemic. I found myself unemployed and away from a very active job as a Physical Therapist Assistant in outpatient PT. I was worried about gaining weight while sitting around the house trying to avoid Covid. At that point, I decided that I have the time and energy, I might as well use it and workout. I started slow and knew it would take some time to find the exercises I liked most. After about 2 months, I started tracking calories as well and set a weight loss goal of 15 lbs. I've never dieted in my life, but for some reason this didn't really feel like a diet. I took the challenge head on and even got my husband to work on his weight loss goals. After a full year, we both lost over 30 lbs! Yes, it's great and all, but over the course of the year, something in my mindset shifted. I learned that it wasn't the destination that I was focused on, it was the daily journey. It was waking up excited in the morning for a new workout. It was finding a new healthier recipe on Pinterest to add to my rotation. It was having more energy to explore new hobbies. Most importantly, it was gaining the self confidence that I had been lacking for years to realize that I can do hard things! It was learning that trying something new and not being successful the first time was not a failure, but a chance to learn from it and do better the next time I tried! Our health is not something we just work on for a short amount of time, or when the scale says a specific number. It's a change in mindset and your actions for the better and for the long haul. When I found my joy, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and become a health coach. The joy I get now is from helping my clients realize their health potential and find the joy in their journey!
